I'm currently an assistant professor at the University of California San Diego. Broadly, I am interested in American political institutions and formal theory. My research centers on strategic behavior in the legal system, and how various actors in the judiciary work to advance their ideological interests.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions at Vanderbilt University. I received a PhD in political science from the University of Rochester in 2023.
